Dengue fever is caused by the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito or Tiger mosquito. Dengue fever is common in more than 120 countries, symptoms begin typically after 3 to 14 days of infection.
Symptoms
- Fever
- Aches and Pain (Eye pain- typically behind the eyes, Muscle, Joint or bone pain)
- Rash
- Nausea
- Vomiting
Transmission
- Spread through the bites of infected Aedes mosquitoes.
- They lay eggs near standing water like pots, vessels etc.
- An infected pregnant woman can pass dengue to its child.
Diagnosis
Blood testing, by antibody detection or by PCR method.
Prevention
- By avoiding Mosquito bites
- Using mosquito nets when sleeping, or using mosquito repellent.
- Checking and removing stagnant water.

Home Remedies for Dengue Fever
Some remedies are helpful in controlling Dengue and its complications.
1.Papaya Leaf Juice
Platelet count comes down in Dengue Fever, so Papaya leaf juice is a great remedy to increase platelet count.
Take Papaya leaves wash it well to remove dirt, crush them to extract juice out of it, add honey to extracted juice and consume a small amount of papaya leaf juice twice a day.

2.Guava Juice
Guava is rich in Vitamin C that helps in building immunity. Drink one cup of
