Coughing is a reflex that keeps our throat & airways clear. A wet cough produces mucus (phlegm).
Causes: Colds and the flu are the most common causes of wet cough.
Home remedies
1. Black Pepper
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper with desi ghee & have it on a full stomach.2. Spiced Tea
Add some crushed ginger root, a pinch of cinnamon & some cloves in water & boil it. After boiling, strain it, add honey and have this.
3.Ginger and Honey
Extract 2 teaspoon of ginger juice from fresh ginger & add 1/2 teaspoon of honey & take it in empty stomach.
4.Basil leaves and Honey
Extract 2 teaspoon juice from fresh basil leaves, add 1/2 teaspoon of honey & take it in empty stomach 2 times a day.
5.Salt-water gargle
Stir half teaspoon of salt into a cup of warm water until it dissolves. Allow it to cool slightly before using it to gargle.
